Hi, I’m Christine O’Toole, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and studied at the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I spent over 10 years as a school social worker before moving into clinical counseling for teens, adults, couples, and families.
I moved to Southern Arizona two years ago and am licensed to provide therapy in Arizona and Illinois. In my spare time, I like walking my dog, Marty, exploring the desert, and hanging out with friends.

Taking the first step

Deciding to go to counseling often stems from facing serious difficulties in our relationships, both with others and ourselves. We usually seek help when our current coping methods for life changes aren't effective anymore. At this stage, we may feel stuck or unsure about our identity and decisions. Such significant changes can greatly alter how we feel and see the world, leading to increased worry, sadness, grief, anger, and even hopelessness as we deal with these intense emotions.

I recognize the immense courage it takes to reach out for help, especially during challenging times. Very often, participating in counseling with a counselor who is a good fit for your needs can significantly help in decreasing your current distress and support you in your journey toward healing and personal growth.

I work with couples of all genders and all sexualities. Couples Counseling can help couples improve their communication skills, their conflict resolution skills and their feelings of connectedness.

Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision for associate licensed counselors and social workers residing in Arizona.

  • I accept the following insurances in Illinois and Arizona

    Aetna, Cigna, BCBS of Massachusettes, BCBS of Illinois, Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health.

    For those out of network, I will provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement.

    $140 individual sessions

    $160 couples sessions

  • I provide clinical supervision for associate licensed counselors and social workers.

    $50 for 60 minute individual supervision.
